How to Install MediaTek USB VCOM drivers on Windows based PC/ Laptop
Step 1: Make sure that you have downloaded MediaTek USB VCOM Drivers in your PC and then extract the same in a folder.
Step 2: On the Computer screen, navigate to the Control Panel and then Drive manager. Alternatively, you can also open the Device manager by right clicking on the My Computer and then click on Manage, following which a pop up screen would be opened, called ‘Computer Management’, and just select the device manager.
Step 3: Once the Device manager opens, the Computer Name would be listed at the top of the Window of the Device Manager Settings. Right click on the computer name and then select Add Legacy Hardware.
Step 4: After doing the same, a pop up screen ‘Add Hardware Wizard’ would be opened, just click the ‘Next’ button there. On the very next screen, you will see two options, one of which is for automatic hardware installation, whereas second one is for manual installation. Select the option where it says “Install the hardware that I manually Select from a list””, and then click on the next button.
Step 5: Now, click on ‘Show All Devices’ and then click on the ‘Next’ button. On the next screen you will see the button ‘Have Disk’ and then select the .inf file.
Step 6: Then you will see the ‘Install from Disk’ popup Window, just select browse and navigate to the extracted folder of the MediaTek VCOM USB Drivers on your computer. Now select the .inf files and hit ‘Open’ button. After hitting the button, you must select ‘Install anyway’. Then, let the PC install the drivers.
Step 7: After the successful installation of all the required .inf files, the PC or Laptop must reboot. Restart your PC or laptop as soon as drivers installation gets finished.
